I was talking to one of my friends the other day about how this year has flown by. It’s hard to imagine that September is already here and we are 2/3 done with 2012. I use this time to look back and reflect on my year; to see if I am on the right track to accomplish the goals I set out for myself, and if there are any improvements I can make before 2013.
This year has been one super busy year with the addition of our beautiful second daughter, Kalia Pearl, back in May. We are so happy and lucky to have two beautiful and healthy little girls that keep us on our toes. Because of this, many of my fitness goals have been put on hold, or just not worked on as much as before. For example, I wanted to run at least 3 times a week, but because of our hectic work schedule and having the two babies, I don’t want to be running in the middle of the night just to achieve that goal! I run when I can, usually on the weekends and early mornings.
Also this year we are saving our money to buy a home. We have been diligently saving since we’ve paid off our credit card debt in 2011. Our plan is to move in to our home by the end of the year. *Fingers Crossed!
Now that the weather is going to cool down, I am hoping that I can get more runs in by not having to run so early in the AM. I will also make more of an effort to run on my days off. That will be my goal for the rest of the year: Run on my days off from work. Whether it is One mile jog with the girls or a Half-Marathon, I will make a conscious effort to lace up my running shoes and Go!
