Happy New Year everyone! I’m back on Running From Debt. I’ve been MIA the last six or so months from posting anything due to the fact that my life just got super busy with our little Miles in the picture. Having three kids is a HUGE difference from having just 2, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
This year, I am refocusing my efforts on my overall fitness, which includes exercise, diet and nutrition. I am going to try to eat out less and learn to cook some meals that are healthy for my family and not break our grocery budget. I am still going to run and that will be my core exercise, but I will be adding more strength training to my routine.
This year, I will also be adding some investing to my blog. I started to slowly invest in some stocks through Loyal3 and opened a trading account to begin investing in individual stocks. My plan is to invest in dividend growth stocks to start putting my money into assets that will pay me for holding on to them for the long term. I plan to reinvest my dividends and let the power of compounding do it’s job over the course of 20-30 years to grow my portfolio. My goal for 2015 is to look for dividend growth stocks to invest as my core holdings and reinvest the dividend back into those companies and just let it grow slowly and steadily.
I am hoping for a great year and I wish you all the best in 2015!!
What are your goals for this year?
